KPMG KPMG has appointed ALAN MCLINTOCK as an indirect tax director within the firm’s travel, leisure and tourism practice. He joins the firm from Sabre Holdings, where he was head of tax for the European, Middle Eastern, African and Asia Pacific regions. During his time with Sabre, McLintock spent five years managing HM Revenue & Customs’ investigation into whether Med Hotels was an agent or principal and was the main witness in the VAT tribunal. He has also worked as a senior officer in HMRC and in practice.
Internet security service company Webroot has appointed STEVE CAKEBREAD to the company's board of directors. Cakebread is chief financial officer of Pandora, a personalised internet radio company, having spent eight years at SaaS technology pioneer salesforce.com, most recently as president and chief strategy officer. Cakebread was previously senior vice president and chief financial officer at Autodesk, and vice president of finance for Silicon Graphics World Trade. He also worked for Hewlett Packard.
MUKESH RAJAN, partner and leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers' India Business Group, has joined the UK India Business Council (UKIBC) executive board. He has been with PwC for 28 years and has been actively involved with India for over 15 years, leading on many of the firm's largest Indian inbound and outbound transactions. Rajani’s clients include large multinationals, companies in the FTSE 250 and those that are privately owned.
ANDREW WILSON joins the tax department at Milsted Langdon as a tax senior, having previously worked for HMRC. The West Country-based chartered accountancy firm is also taking on five accounting trainees at the beginning of September. STACEY JEST will be joining the team in Bristol, GEMMA POTTER will be working in Yeovil and SAM PHILLIPS, NAOMI MITCHELL and ALEX NAWRAT will be based in Taunton.
